[New Release] Nas "Life is Good" debuts at No.1

Nas new release Life is Good was celebrated earlier last week at Moet Rose Lounge in NYC. Among those in attendance; Jay Z and wife Beyonce, Swizz Beats, Jermaine Dupri, Q-Tip (as the DJ), Angie Martinez, Miss Info, Busta Rhymes, male model Tyson Beckford and several Island/Def Jam music execs. This is Nas' tenth studio album and will land him at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Nielsen Soundscan has Life is Good selling 149,000 copies. With numbers like these, it's safe to say this is a step in the right direction for Hip Hop record sales, which have generally suffered in recent years. Life is Good features Nas on the cover accompanied by a piece of the dress worn by ex-wife, singer Kelis. This is Nas' sixth #1 debut album and it appears he has grown as man and as a lyricist, addressing his role as a parent raising his teenage daughter in a world where Twitter and Facebook dominates and peer acceptance overrules parenting advice in the single "Daughters". Life is Good also features the track "Bye Baby" where Nas exposes his life as husband to former wife Kelis, the nature of their relationship and the potential reasons behind their divorce. In addition, the album hosts a collaboration between Nas and the late, great, Amy Winehouse, on "Magic Moments". In a matter of 15 hours @RayJ made RT history with one word, three letters "Lol". Some calling it the RT heard around the world. The RT came after former "co-star" @KimKardashian tweeted "Keep your life in a positive perspective. We are not defined by our pasts." At that moment Twitter went into a frenzy over the "Lol" RT, so much so the tweet has been RTed over 50,000 times. Some fans #TeamRayJ while others siding with Kim K for "overcoming their sex tape scandal". Ray J responded to the perceived twitter war while speaking with Power106 radio this morning stating, 

                "I felt like it was real, what [Kim K tweeted]. I kinda laughed about it, 'cause it was a hundred." Ray J continued, "I wish 'em [Kim and current boyfriend Kanye West] the best. Life is a roller coaster, so you never know what's gonna happen. But I wish 'em the best, much success to both of 'em." The well wishes appeared authentic but it was hard to tell as Ray J finish by saying, "Yo, this whole thing is like a Magic Mountain experience." 

Potentially firing shots as Kim and Kanye enjoyed a day at the magic Mountain theme park earlier in the week. {I find that HIL-AR-RIOUS}.Both celebs have had quite the eventful year. With the death of close family friend Whitney Houston in February affected Ray J terribly. Kim K has bounced back from the 72-day dismemberment of nuptuals to NBA player Chris Humphries right into the arms of long time friend Kanye West.It's a wonder if Kanye will attack Ray J as he did Humphries. We shall tweet back and see.

[Blog Post] Usher's step-son pronounced brain-dead after lake accident

TheMogulShow sends our condolences to the Foster & Raymond family after a terrible lake accident leaves Usher's step-son, with Tameka Foster-Raymond, brain-dead. The 11yr old, Kyle Glover, was accompanied by a teenage girl riding in a inner tube at Atlanta's Lake Lanier when they were both struck by a passing jet-skier. Both were reported injured and airlifted to a nearby hospital. Usher and ex-wife Tameka have two sons together and has been involved in a bitter custody battle since their divorce in late 2009.
