In yet another ode to the genre of Hip Hop music, DJ Khaled releases a track entitled "
Hip Hop". The single is off his sixth debut album
Kiss The Ring. The new album is scheduled to go on sale August 21, 2012. The track, "
Hip Hop" features Scarface, Nas and DJ Premier. With hip hop music veterans like Scarface and Nas, this record is sure to be a shoo-win. Scarface opens with his lyrical description of attempts to reconnect with hip hop, "I'm doing drugs just to feel you," while Nas name drops past a present artists in the game while remaining true to his style, tossing in facts from his own life rapping "And she took me from my girl powder." Both rappers pay great tribute to rap music in this well crafted single.
Kiss The Ring contains many other hip-hop-heavy-hitters including; Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross and much more.
Despite new album anticipation, earlier this week DJ Khaled was rumored to have been facing eviction from his Florida home where he's allegedly acquired an unpaid rent bill of over $50,000. Let's hope with the release of
Kiss The Ring in the coming weeks, he won't become DJ Khaled the homeless producer. Check out "
Hip Hop" and video for "
I Wish You Would/Cold", which will also be featured on
Kiss The Ring, below. The "
Cold" video was directed by Hype Williams and contains scenes of the fresh couple, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian canoodling.
