[New Video] Lupe Fiasco "B!tch Bad"

Lupe Fiasco's single "Bitch Bad" off his upcoming album Food & Liquor II has sparked much conversation over the music and social media circuit. The video appears to be an expression of the current state of the music industry's glamorization of the degradation of women. The video has scenes where a young woman and man don's "black face", teenage girls surfing the web, a woman posing with breast and butt fillers as well as a woman wearing a pink wig (rather Nicki Minaj-esque). Take a look see and judge for yourself.

What is love? Rapper Hell Yeeeeah raps about what his definition of love is in his new single aptly titled, "Love Is." The single is the first off of Yeeeeah's upcoming debut album Love & Other Drugs due out Fall 2012. As a member of Armmy Of 2 (A.O.2) and Deadly Alliance, Hell Yeeeeah is taking the time to focus on his solo project.

Hailing from Bedford Stuyvesant (Bed Stuy) Yeeeeah's musical influences include artists and music from all genres. A major influence for Yeeeeah, the late great Tupac Shakur.

"He was a great artist to me that had great balance. (Tupac) showed you the positive and negative side of the world. Not only did he make you nod your head, he also taught you something."

[New Single] DJ Khaled drops "Hip Hop" & "Cold" video

In yet another ode to the genre of Hip Hop music, DJ Khaled releases a track entitled "Hip Hop". The single is off his sixth debut album Kiss The Ring. The new album is scheduled to go on sale August 21, 2012. The track, "Hip Hop" features Scarface, Nas and DJ Premier. With hip hop music veterans like Scarface and Nas, this record is sure to be a shoo-win. Scarface opens with his lyrical description of attempts to reconnect with hip hop, "I'm doing drugs just to feel you," while Nas name drops past a present artists in the game while remaining true to his style, tossing in facts from his own life rapping "And she took me from my girl powder." Both rappers pay great tribute to rap music in this well crafted single.  Kiss The Ring contains many other hip-hop-heavy-hitters including; Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross and much more.

Despite new album anticipation, earlier this week DJ Khaled was rumored to have been facing eviction from his Florida home where he's allegedly acquired an unpaid rent bill of over $50,000. Let's hope with the release of Kiss The Ring in the coming weeks, he won't become DJ Khaled the homeless producer. Check out "Hip Hop" and video for "I Wish You Would/Cold", which will also be featured on Kiss The Ring, below. The "Cold" video was directed by Hype Williams and contains scenes of the fresh couple, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian canoodling.

[Celebrity] Chad Johnson & Evelyn Lozada divorces after domestic assault charges

Just one month and ten days following the nuptials of pro football player Chad Johnson (formally known as Chad Ochocinco) and "Basketball Wives" reality series cast member Evenlyn Lozada the two are headed for divorce. Sources say that Lozada has filed for divorce claiming irretrievable breakdown of marriage. This motion was brought on the heels of a domestic dispute taken place in Johnson's car while the two were parked in the driveway of the couples residence. Lozada claims she was headbutted by Johnson after confronting him regarding a receipt for condoms. The couple has only been husband and wife for 41 days and was anticipating the premier of their very own reality show, which as recently been shelved, originally scheduled to  air on VH1, Monday Sept 3. Following the arrest Johnson was released from the Miami Dolphins (talk about a bad week). Johnson has since been released from jail on $2500 bond, says TMZ.com. Lozada has recently released a statement regarding the incident

“I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me. It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well.”

[New Release] Aaliyah ft. Drake Enough Said Debut

Over the weekend the single Enough Said by late singer Aaliyah ft. Drake was released much to, Aaliyah's former producer, Timbaland's chagrin. The track has never before heard vocals by Aaliyah and one verse from YMCMB (Young Money Cash Money Billionaires) rapper Drake. Drake has not been shy in exposing his affinity for Aaliyah as he has her face tattooed on his back and has recently tattooed "416" (referencing his Canadian roots) but highlighting only the "1" portion of the four making the tattoo appear "116" (Aaliyah's date of birth, Jan 16). Sounds like someone has an obsession. Timbaland had expressed, in a previous interview, not knowing exactly what Drake had in store when professing "some great Aaliyah news," early this year to Tim Westwood of the UK. Admitting, Drake should have instead come to work with him (Timbaland) and Missy Elliot. It is quite possible that it has been too long since hearing the voice of Aaliyah, turning the feel of the song into just another feaure. With fans accustom to Drake drowning out songs and not doing many features as of late, the song comes off as a bit bland. So what's next, an Aaliyah hologram ft Drake video? You be the judge.
