While Adele is on maternity leave, take a moment to get to know 25 year old Emeli Sandé. With a her signature blonde-rooster-up-do, she can't be misidentified. Her unique voice is a combination of soul and R&B. Born Adele Emeli Sandé to a Zambian father and English (Scottish) mother. Sandé grew up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This singer-songwriter has created music for several UK artist including; Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle. Her debut album "Our Version of Events" was released in February (2012) by Virgin Records and has since peaked at No.1 in the UK. Sandé has since began her United States invasion releasing several hits off "Our Version of Events"; "Maybe," "Next to Me," and "My Kind of Love," among other hot tracks featured on the album; "Daddy" and "Where I Sleep."
